Yoga Classes at Revere Park

Yoga Classes at Revere Park

Revere Park is located in the North Center neighborhood at 2509 W. Irving Park Road near the Irving Park and Western intersection. Classes are held in the auditorium which has big bright windows and hardwood floors. Revere Park has a free parking lot. However, there is only one exit/entrance so please enter slowly.

All classes are appropriate for beginners and no prior experience is required. We recommend registering early as classes have a tendency to fill up fast.

Yoga Classes Available

All yoga classes are open to beginners! Some classes may be more challenging than others or certain postures may not be in a student’s practice but we encourage students to enroll based on their needs and modifications will be provided as needed. We encourage all students to ask for help if something doesn’t feel “right”

Currently, all yoga classes require students to be able to comfortably and safely get up and down off the floor. If you are interested in chair yoga, where students can practice with the support of the chair and not move to the floor, please join our chair yoga interest list.

Yoga for Stress ReductionYoga for Stress Reduction

Summer Quarter 2019

Thursdays, 6:00 – 7:00 PM

June 20 – August 22

Cost: $45

This series focuses on stress reduction for both the mind and body. From a physical perspective, this class targets the stress on the body from a modern lifestyle behind technology and focuses on stretching the hips, lower back, hamstring, shoulders, and neck. It also incorporates stress reduction techniques that will vary from class to class but will include breathing and mindfulness techniques. The format of the class will vary a bit from class to class but students should expect intense stretching sometimes holding stretching postures for minutes at a time. Participants will need to be able to place pressure on their hands and knees as well as getting up and down off the floor comfortably. Please contact us if you are registering after the program start date. We can get you into the series but will need to do so manually.
